Panelmi does not collect personal data. There is no account and no server of ours. The app works offline and nothing you import is uploaded.

Sysdiagnose files

You make a sysdiagnose (the diagnostic file iOS builds itself) on your iPhone and share it to Panelmi. The app unpacks the .tar.gz archive on your device and reads only the ioreg display, model, region, battery and part lines. From them it shows the display panel maker, the panel code, the approximate month the panel was made, the model number, the sales market, battery cycles and capacity, and memory, storage, modem and camera part identifiers. The rest of the file is not read. A copy of a shared archive is deleted after it is read. The file and the results are never uploaded and never leave your device unless you share them yourself.

On-device AI

The verdict card uses Apple's on-device language model (Apple Intelligence, Foundation Models) to explain a report in plain words. It runs on your iPhone and works offline; the report is never sent to us or to any AI company. The panel maker comes from the panel code, not from the AI. Where Apple Intelligence is not available, the app writes the same facts from fixed rules.

Reminder

If you allow notifications, Panelmi schedules one local notification about 10 minutes after you start a sysdiagnose. It is created on your device; no push server is involved.

Sharing a result

Share Result creates an image card and a link to appstore-metadata.web.app/panelmi/r/. The link carries only the iPhone model, the panel maker, the 3-character panel code and the approximate month, in the part of the address after #, which browsers do not send to the server. It never contains a serial number. Nothing is shared unless you send it yourself.

What stays on your device

No third-party tracking

Panelmi contains no advertising SDK and no cross-app tracking identifier (IDFA). It sends a few anonymous app events (for example: a file was read, the panel maker and 3-character code found, a result was shared, a test was finished) to Superwall to measure how the app is used. These events are not linked to your identity and never contain serial numbers, file contents or battery values.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We never see your payment details.

Subscription offers are shown by Superwall, which receives anonymous device and paywall-interaction data to display the offer and confirm a purchase. It never receives your name, email, sysdiagnose files or any result the app reads from them.
