Agreement
By downloading or using SayPrivate for Mac or SayPrivate for iPhone ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of
Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Our Privacy Policy explains how
the App handles your data.
iPhone app license
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the iPhone app on any
Apple device you own or control, subject to these Terms and the
Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA)
and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
If these Terms conflict with the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA applies to the iPhone app and to the Mac App Store version of the Mac app.
iPhone and Mac App Store subscriptions
- One subscription covers the iPhone app and the Mac App Store version of the Mac app on the same Apple Account.
- SayPrivate Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: $9.99 per week, or $39.99 per year with a 7-day free
trial. Prices may vary by country and are shown in the App before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial.
- The subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the
current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops the next
renewal; the current period stays active until it ends.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Mac app license (direct download)
- The Mac app downloaded from this site is sold by Dodo Payments or Gumroad, which process
the payment and deliver your license key by email. Their terms (linked below) also apply to your purchase.
- A 7-day free trial works without a key. After the trial, a valid license key is required.
- From time to time we may offer a free week of the Mac app. A free week is limited to one per Mac and per
iCloud account, works only on the Mac that requested it, ends after seven days, and can be offered, changed or
stopped at any time. It has no cash value.
- Your license lets you use the Mac app on the number of Macs stated at purchase, for your own use. You may
not share, resell or publish your license key.
- The Mac app validates the key with the seller's license service and caches the result so it keeps working
offline. We may deactivate keys obtained through fraud, chargebacks or public sharing.
- Price, included updates and the refund window are stated on the checkout page at purchase.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for what you record and dictate. Before recording a meeting or call, get the consent
of the other participants where the law requires it. Do not use the App to break the law or to violate
anyone's rights.
Your content
Your recordings and transcripts belong to you. They are stored on your devices and in your own iCloud;
we do not receive them and claim no rights to them. Keep your own backups of anything important; you can
export at any time.
Accuracy
Speech recognition can make mistakes. Check transcripts before relying on them, especially for medical,
legal, financial or safety-critical use.
Third-party services
No warranty
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not
liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from use of the App.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The date above shows the latest version; continued use means you accept it.
