Usage Battery for Cluade Code ("the App") is a local-only macOS menu bar app with an iOS companion. It does not have a backend server, does not collect analytics, and does not send your data to us or to any third party other than Anthropic, as described below.
After you run claude in Terminal once (which stores an OAuth token in your macOS Keychain under the "Claude Code-credentials" item), the App reads that existing token from your Keychain using Apple's Security framework. It does not create, generate, or ask you to enter any credential — it only reads the token your own Claude Code CLI already stored.
The App sends your Claude Code OAuth token, over HTTPS, directly to Anthropic's own usage endpoint (api.anthropic.com) to retrieve your current session, weekly and Sonnet-model usage percentages. This is the same official API your Claude Code CLI already uses. The App does not send this token, or any other data, to us or to any server we operate — because none exists.
If you use the iOS companion app, your Claude Code credentials are synced from the Mac app to your iPhone or iPad via Apple's iCloud Keychain, which is end-to-end encrypted by Apple. We have no access to this data.
The App does not use any analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDK. It does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites.
Cached usage percentages and app preferences are stored locally on your Mac or iOS device using standard system storage. This data is never transmitted to us.
The App is a developer tool not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
