Setup

Run claude in Terminal on your Mac at least once so the Claude Code CLI stores your OAuth token in the macOS Keychain under the "Claude Code-credentials" item.
Open Usage Battery on your Mac. It reads that existing token and shows session, weekly and Sonnet usage as a battery icon in the menu bar.
If you also use the iOS companion app, open the Mac app first so your credentials sync to your iPhone or iPad via iCloud Keychain, then open the iOS app.

Common questions

The menu bar icon shows no data

Make sure you've run claude in Terminal at least once so a token exists in your Keychain, and that you approved the Keychain access prompt the first time Usage Battery asked for it.

The iOS app doesn't show my usage

iCloud Keychain sync requires both devices to be signed into the same Apple ID with iCloud Keychain enabled in Settings. Open the Mac app first, then the iOS app.
